Have you ever used the GSIS?
The Gender Statistics Information System is a portal site that provides integrated information related to gender statistics, including a statistical DB, thematic statistics and statistical publications.
History of the Gender Statistics Information System
Korean Women's Development Institute (hereafter, KWDI) regularly publishes reports on gender statistics after publishing Social Statistics and Indicators on Women in 1986. After 1994, KWDI annually published Statistical Yearbook on Women, a representative publication of gender statistics. From 1999, KWDI built and operated a statistical DB of women to diversify the dissemination of gender statistics. Through the efforts to switch into a portal of gender statistics, this DB was expanded and revised to the Gender Statistics Information System (GSIS). Through continuous upgrade of the GSIS, KWDI greatly contributes to the dissemination of gender statistics.
